ISO (سازمان بین المللی استاندارد سازی) یک فدراسیون جهانی برای اجزای و بدنه های مربوط به استانداردهای ملی می باشد (اعضای ISO). کار آماده سازی کردن استانداردهای بین المللی به صورت طبیعی از طریق کمیته های فنی ISO انجام می شود. هر عضو به عنوان موضوعی برای کمیته فنی ای است که استقرار یافته است و به خوبی نشان داده شده است. سازمان ها ی بین المللی، به صورت دولتی و غیر دولتی در رابطه با ISO در این گروه کاری شرکت می کنند. شرکت کنندگان ISO در ارتباط با کمیته الکتروفنی بین المللی (IEC) یر روی همه ی موضوعات استانداردسازی الکتروفنی کار می کنند.
استانداردهای بین المللی در ارتباط با قوانین مشخص شده در ISO/IEO در بخش 2 به صورت پیش نویس درآمده اند.
کار اصلی برای کمیته های فنی فراهم ساختن استانداردهای بین المللی است. پیش نویس استانداردهای بین المللی به وسیله کمیته های فنی سازگار شده است که برای اعضای و برای رای گیری کردن در حال گردش می باشد. جمعیت به عنوان نیازهای تعیین شده برای استانداردهای بین المللی برای حداقل 75 درصد از اعضا قابل رای دادن می باشد.

ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2.
The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards
adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an
International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. ISO shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
ISO 4126-3 was prepared by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) Technical Committee
CEN/TC 69, Industrial valves, ISO/TC 185, Safety devices for protection against excessive pressure, in
accordance with the Agreement on technical cooperation between ISO and CEN (Vienna Agreement).
This first edition of ISO 4126-3 cancels and replaces ISO 6718:1991, of which it constitutes a technical
revision.
